Profile:
Rob is a Senior Associate in the dispute resolution team advising on a broad spectrum of contentious commercial property issues for a range of clients including institutional landlords, asset managers, retail occupier tenants and office tenants.
Rob has experience of advising across a variety of asset types including retail, offices, industrial and logistics. Rob has advised both landlords and tenants in relation to lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, terminal dilapidations, disputes concerning break options and forfeiture, insolvency and advising developers and landowners in relation to rights of light and other development issues. Rob also has experience of advising landowners in relation to Code Rights under the Electronic Communications Code.

- Acting for Cine-UK Limited in the Court of Appeal in relation to a claim brought by their landlord for unpaid rent during the Covid-19 pandemic in the case of Bank of New York Mellon (International) Limited v Cine-UK Limited
- Acting for an institutional landlord to challenge a light obstruction notice relating to a large redevelopment by an adjoining landowner
- Advising a developer of a large office building on the Strand, London to obtain vacant possession of the site before the works could begin
- Advising a landlord of a science park in relation to a disputed break notice with a debt claim in excess of £2 million
- Advising landlords of shopping centres on asset management issues including both opposed and unopposed lease renewal, dilapidations and forfeiture
